Judith Bean teaches Grades JK/SK to Grade 6 Elementary Vocal Music at Ryerson Public School in Cambridge. She is the founder and director of Menno Youth Singers which is currently in their 7th season. For 7 years, she was co-director of Inter-Mennonite Children’s Choir and the interim conductor for the St. Mary’s Children’s “Presto” choir for one year. Currently, she is the conductor of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Children’s Choir in Kitchener. Her interest in the study of choral music has taken her as far as Hawaii and Japan, as well being chosen as one of eight conductors from across North America to work with Jean Ashworth-Bartle and Henry Leck at the Toronto Children’s Chorus Choral Symposium. For 6 summers, Judith has joined the artistic staff of the Toronto Children’s Chorus for the choir’s summer camp at Appleby College.
She is a well-known soloist, and performer in musical theatre productions, and light comedy plays across Ontario. She has been a workshop clinician for the Kodaly Society of Ontario, Ontario Registered Music Teachers, for Toronto District School Board and for the Waterloo Region District School Board.
Judith has taught piano at the Beckett School of Music in Kitchener for more than 17 years.
